#1 the setting in this story was at the peoples houses and I think it might be at the sports stadiums and fields. I have a connection because I like soccer and other sports and most of the sports I like are in this book.
#2The settings were mostly at the kids house and maybe at the school. Alot of the story that we read today was about the kids lives and who they live with. Some of the kids Dont want to play but some kids like Nathan want to play but thire parents wont let them

#1 My favorite character is Hank because he plays soccer, soccer is my favorite sport. If they ever talk about him playing soccer I bet he will be very good. My least favorite character is Jeremy because he talks about how spoiled the kids at the clinic are and how nice the jerseys are. I think he should e thankful that he gets that nice stuff.
#2 my favorite person is hank becouse he seems to be the most fun but hank is also the best at basketball and he ia the least spoiled kid on the taem. My least favorite is Anabel becouse she does not play basketball her brother dose thats why i dont like he very much
Extra Comments:Why do they call the title of that set of story's Anabel because it is mostly about her brother Micheal?

Reading Response Day 5
#1 So far they have been telling storys about kids that go to a school called northbridge. They talk about the basketball clinic and games. There is a lot of the kids they talk about that are not the best, yet there is some good kids. they have also had gone threw lots of coaches some were just bad and some yelled a lot. The one They have now I think will be pretty good. He is nice, he played basket ball and the kids like him. I think that they will do good in the rest of the season because the new coach will teach them how together by passing the ball and not always taking the shot right when they get the ball. They might even win the championship!!!!!!!!!!! So far I really like this book.
#2 One of the most important parts is when the kids try out for the team becuse not all of the kids get to make the team and when some of the kids make it and some dont the ones that make the team might brag about them making the team and some kids not making the team. When I try out for my select baseballteam some of the kids make the team (I did) but i did not brag about it to the kids that did not. I think another importent part of the story is the first game because people say that you can tell how the rest of the seoson is going to go by the first game. But I do not think that is very true because last year my team lost the first game and ended the season 14-7 !!!! The kids lost the first game alot to nothing. The last one that happened was when the two boys got into the fight Hank and Jermy becuse that could get then kicked off the team and hank is the best player and Jermy is also very good at basketball.

#1 I have a text to movie connection. I saw a movie called Like Mike and Like Mike 2. They are about basket ball and how a kids finds Micheal Jordans shoes and in like mike 1 a bully throws them up on a power line and on a stormy night the kid goes to get them then a lighting bolt hit the power line and he fell with the shoes he put the shoes on and now he is really good at basket ball.
#2 I have a text to life and text to movie. My text to self is that I play basketball for select so I know what they are going thought but I thought that doing the basketball was preaty fun so I dont think these kids are simularto me. My text to movie is that one time on T.V there was a cool movie about a little kid that loved basketball but his parents dident let him so he snuck out and went to play and he learned he was very good so he played and his team won the divion.

#1 I agree with you there was 2 turning points, but I think one of them was north bridge beating Hollis. I also think that one of them was nathan going into the game and making the winning shot. I wondered why none of his friends congrgulated him.
#2 I think there was two turning spots in the story. The first one was when the kids lost ther first i think 2 games and then won there next game. I feel like that was a big turning point because it was there first game. Another is when Nathan makes the shot late in the game but I feel like that was a turning point only for Nathan.
Extra Comments:Nathan: I like how they put the kid thats not the best in because the coach seems like he alwas wants the good players out.
Leo: I thought jeremy was going to leave at half time against Hollis.
